I love Taylor Swift. I think she is a wonderful role model. She is smart, business savvy, an awesome musician and songwriter, and just SO NICE. I had the chance to meet her this weekend when her “Speak Now World Tour 2011″ stopped in Jacksonville, Florida.
Her backstage meet-and-greet area is set up like a fantastic vintage-inspired lounge. There were shabby chic couches and lots of drapes hanging from the ceiling. The area was lit up by gorgeous chandeliers. She even had her fabulous shoe case on display as well as most of the dresses from her music videos.
Taylor came out and she was very tall and very beautiful. She was the first one to go in for a hug and she was so gracious and humble. She was most excited for her fan meet-and-greet after the show. She holds a “T-Party” for special fans to hang out and have pizza with her. She picks the fans from the stage and has her assistants run up and surprise them with T-Party passes – a dream come true for some lucky concert goers!
Her concert will make you agree with that CMA “Entertainer of the Year” award she just won. The set is something out of a Broadway musical. She has some amazingly talented musicians and dancers. And Taylor sings with her perfect balance of raw emotion and girl power.
Here’s Taylor’s music video for “Sparks Fly,” her opening number and a small taste of what it’s like to see her perform live. Enjoy!
